McClellan tied for 2nd after 1st round of Falling Rock Classic
Jul. 12—Rob McClellan of Slippery Rock Golf Club is tied for second place in the Falling Rock Classic at Nemacolin Woodland Golf Club in Farmington, Pa.
McClellan carded a 36-35—71 on the opening day of the tourney Monday to tie for second with Michael Gervais (Bridgeport Country Club).
They trail leader Kevin Shields (The Club at Nevillewood) by four strokes after he shot a 34-33—67.
Ari Papadopoulos is in a 5-way tie for ninth place after shooting a 39-35—74.
The second round of the tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Papadopoulos tees off at 8:40 a.m. and McClellan at 9:10 a.m.
