McCormick & Schmick's Closes Bridgewater Commons Mall Location

Landry's, Inc., which owns the franchise chain, is working to relocate the employees at the Bridgewater location.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks closed its location at the Bridgewater Commons Mall on Saturday.

The franchise had been located at 400 Commons Way in Bridgewater.

Howard Cole, Chief Operating Officer of Landry's, Inc. which had owned the restaurant chain confirmed the closure stating it was due to a natural lease expiration.

"We are grateful for the support of the local community and loyal patrons. We value our employees, their dedication to our company and are working to relocate them immediately," Cole stated.

McCormick & Schmick's has only one location left open in New Jersey in Atlantic City.

Landry's, Inc. also recently closed its Big Fish Seafood Bistro in Princeton on New Year's Day, which was the last franchise location. The seafood restaurant had been located at the MarketFair Mall off Route 1 in Princeton. (See Related: Big Fish Seafood Bistro Closes Princeton Location)

Other nearby restaurants that Landry's owns include Brick House Tavern & Tap or Joe’s Crab Shack in South Plainfield, Rainforest Café in Edison inside Menlo Park Mall, and Brick House Princeton.

It is unclear what will replace the restaurant at this time.
