McDonald’s, Crown & Iris move forward to join Publix at Newmans Crossing in Gallatin

Plans are moving forward to open a new McDonald’s restaurant and a boutique that will be part of the Newmans Crossing mixed-use development in Gallatin anchored by Publix.

Newmans Crossing is off Long Hollow Pike and Big Station Camp Boulevard.

What we know

  • McDonald's: The future McDonald’s is planned for an outparcel on Big Station Camp Boulevard. The restaurant will be just over 4,000 square feet with two drive-thru lanes and constructed according to the most recent McDonald’s restaurant prototype, project manager Richard Keesaer said. A final development plan was approved by the Gallatin Municipal Planning Commission Jan. 23 after discussion to add conditions to ensure adequate drainage. Opening is tentative, but estimated for the third quarter of this year, Keesaer said.

  • Crown & Iris: A family lifestyle boutique, has also announced it will move into a space at Newman’s Crossing as well. Buildout is tentatively estimated to be completed this spring, according to owner Jennifer Peyton. The business has already launched its business online ahead of moving into the physical store.

  • About Newmans Crossing: Newmans Crossing includes 98 townhome units approved. The Publix opened in December. A Twice Daily with a White Bison Coffee are also open at an outparcels. There are additional commercial spaces available and more openings are expected to be announced in the coming months, Blackwater Resources President John Abernathy said.
