McDonald’s Will Start Providing Vaccine Information On McCafé Cups And McDelivery Seal Stickers

McDonald's has announced a partnership that will help COVID-19 vaccine information become more accessible to customers. The brand is teaming up with the "We Can Do This" campaign this month and will begin rolling out coffee cups and delivery stickers that will lead to information for customers to learn how to protect themselves and the people around them.

Beginning in July, all of the McDonald's locations across the United States will offer hot McCafe cups and McDelivery seal stickers (the stickers that ensure delivery meals aren't tampered with in transit) that will feature a new "We Can Do This" design. Each cup and seal will direct McDonald's fans to vaccines.gov so they can find vaccine appointments near them.

The initiative will begin this month with the debut of COVID-19 vaccine information on a McDonald's billboard in Times Square. That billboard is located above one of the most iconic McDonald's locations and will be seen by millions, according to a McDonald's press release.

McDonald's USA Vice President for Global Public Policy and Government Relations Genna Gent said that this partnership is one way the brand hopes to play its part in helping end this pandemic.

“We all want to protect ourselves and our loved ones and be together with our communities again. McDonald’s is excited to be doing our part for the people we serve, providing them with simple information that can help keep them safe,” she explained: “This is a team effort–it takes all of us. We’re proud to enter this partnership to provide trusted, independently verified information about COVID-19 vaccines to our customers in the nearly 14,000 communities we serve.”
