McDonald’s is taking three fan-favorites off the menu. Here’s when and what to know

McDonald’s is saying goodbye to baked goods — well, some of them.

The fast-food giant plans to phase out its McCafe bakery lineup as early as this month, a McDonald’s spokesperson told McClatchy News. The spokesperson did not give an exact date.

The menu, introduced in 2020, included a blueberry muffin, apple fritter and cinnamon roll with icing.

During its three-year run, the lineup featured other sweet treats, including a glazed pull apart doughnut and ‘80s-era cheese danish, McClatchy News previously reported.

The restaurant didn’t give a clear reason for the change but said it is “always listening to our fans and adjusting our menu based on what they crave,” according to a statement.

“We know goodbyes are never easy – but fans can still satisfy their sweet tooth with our iconic Chocolate Chip Cookies, Baked Apple Pie and frozen desserts,” the spokesperson said.
