McDonald's Happy Meals aren't just for kids. Kerwin Frost Box coming. How about Florida?
It's late. Everyone is hungry and tired. Then you spot those golden arches — which kids can spot from a mile away even before they can read.
You pull in and order the Happy Meal and silence reigns as the toy inside keeps the kiddos occupied until you get home.
Remember those happy times? Why can't they be for adults?
Well, now they can, at least at select locations and while supplies last.
An adult "Happy Meal" is back at McDonald's in the form of the Kerwin Frost Box and McNugget Buddy Collectibles.
What is in the Kerwin Frost Box at McDonald's?
The Kerwin Frost Box includes your choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, fries, a soft drink and a special McNugget Buddy collectible.
What — or who — are the McNugget Buddy collectibles?
The McNugget "Buddies’ designs are inspired by (Kerwin) Frost’s childhood experiences and belief that everyone should feel free to express themselves," according to McDonald's. They come with mix-and-match outfits. The collectibles as described by McDonald's include:
Kerwin Frost: The mayor of Frost Way is a true champion of the Buddies and encourages them to be themselves. In his free time, catch him adding art to his collection or fixing things around the neighborhood.
Don Bernice: The wise stylist, an experienced fashion designer who creates all the outfits for the Buddies in Frost Way, while also offering stern advice (that’s always nice). After all, she is “don,” the very best.
Uptown Moe: The neighborhood hero, the no-nonsense, street-smart, supportive guy from around the block in Frost Way everyone knows and loves. He also gives the best motivational speeches on a whim.
Waffutu: The curious optimist, who grew up in Frost Way and was raised by the whole neighborhood. She spreads positivity wherever she goes and can turn any frown upside down with the wave of a wand and tilt of a crown.
BRRRICK: The cool guy, the most adventurous Buddy in Frost Way who speaks in puns, loves trying new things and techno music. He’s lowkey nervous, but always cool under pressure.
Darla: The dreamer, a soft-spoken yet peacefully confident singer who moved to Frost Way to pursue her dream of becoming a superstar as the lead singer of “The Frostettos.” When she’s not on stage, she’s running the local McDonald’s in Frost Way, where she’s employee of the month every month.

The Kerwin Frost Box will be available nationwide and around the world at participating McDonald’s restaurants starting Dec. 11 while supplies last, according to an email from McDonald's USA. The price is determined by individual restaurants and may vary.

Proceeds to help support Harlem Arts Alliance
"The Kerwin Frost Box is also elevating and amplifying artists and their work in local communities by partnering with the Harlem Arts Alliance, a New York-based nonprofit organization that plays an essential role in the lives of emerging and established artists," according to McDonald's.
"A portion of proceeds from Frost's exclusive program merchandise line will support HAA, helping spark creativity and inspire self-expression in young adults growing up in Harlem, where Kerwin’s creative journey first began."
A limited-edition collection will be available to customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia beginning Dec. 11, while supplies last, at kerwinfrost.com.
This isn't first time McNugget Buddies have appeared
The McNugget Buddies were first introduced in 1988 as part of a limited time Happy Meal featuring 10 different McNugget Buddy collectibles.
Who is Kerwin Frost?
Kerwin Frost is a Harlem-born comedian, entertainer, DJ, host and style maven, according to IMDb.
"He was one of the pioneers of the soho youth streetwear scene, now regarded by Vogue as "Fashion's Funniest Man" and by GQ as "Your Favorite Influencer's Favorite Influencer," according to Frost's biography on IMDb.
What did Frost say about the Frost Box and McNugget Buddies?
“I’ve loved McDonald’s since I was a kid. I even had my own Ronald McDonald doll that I brought to picture day at school, and it was my dream to collect all the McNugget Buddies,” Frost said.

Remember the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box in 2022?
In 2022, McDonalds offered the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box for "adult fans."
The meal included a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries and drink. The surprise inside was one of several figurines, including Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie and Cactus Buddy.
The Cactus Plant Flea Market also had a site where consumers could purchase McDonald's-themed apparel including shirts and sweatpants.
Last year's Cactus Plant Flea Market Box sold for about $12.95 in New York, according to CNBC.
The Cactus Plant Flea Market collaboration was wildly successful for McDonald’s, driving a 37% year-over-year uptick in traffic the week it was launched, according to Nation's Restaurant News.
Celebrity meals offered by McDonald's
McDonald's previously has launched other popular meal collaborations.
Prior limited-edition celebrity meals featured BTS, Travis Scott, J Balvin and Mariah Carey.
