This New McDonald's Toy Box Is Basically A Happy Meal For Adults
As adults sit through conference calls and check their 401k plans, it can be easy to forget about simpler times. Times when your mom or dad reluctantly gave into your many requests for a Happy Meal while in the McDonald's drive-thru line.
Well, thanks to a new collaboration, McDonald's is treating adults to a bit of nostalgia next month. As part of a collaboration with the streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market, McDonald's will release the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box.
Essentially a Happy Meal for adults, the box will include some of McDonald's most craveable menu items. To create their own Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, guests can choose from either a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNugget. Both options will come with an order of fries and a drink. And in true Happy Meal fashion, the box will come with one of four collectible McDonald's character figurines that are exclusive to the collab.
"We're taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald's experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that's hyper-relevant for our adult fans," said Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, in a statement. “I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week."
For those eager to get their hands on a Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, the box will be available at McDonald's starting October 3 (while supplies last). In addition to the limited-edition box, exclusive merch will also be made available on that day at cpfmmcdonalds.com.
