Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said President Biden's press conference on Wednesday was the "most delusional" she's ever seen.

"I thought that was the most delusional press conference I have ever seen," McEnany, a co-host of "Outnumbered," said on Fox News Thursday.

McEnany pointed to Biden saying he outperformed in his first year as president, as well as his remarks on the economy, as examples of how "delusional" he is since Biden has received low approval ratings for his job as president and the state of the economy in recent polls.

"I left that press conference genuinely scared for the future of our country," McEnany said. "This is someone who is deeply delusional, someone who clearly does not know how to lead. He does not have a basic grasp on the facts. He continued to peddle mistruth after mistruth."

McEnany served as former President Trump's national press secretary from 2019 to 2020, during which Trump frequently held press conferences that caused controversy.

In 2020, Trump suggested at a press conference that injecting a disinfectant would cure the coronavirus.

He also frequently got into fights with reporters such as CNN's Jim Acosta, whom Trump called "a rude, terrible person" who "shouldn't be working for CNN."

After the Capitol attack at the end of Trump's presidency, McEnany consulted Fox News host Sean Hannity about a plan for how to handle the incident and Trump.

A letter to the House select committee investigating the attack showed Hannity texted McEnany saying there needed to be "no more stolen election talk."

"Love that. Thank you. That is the playbook," she reportedly said in response to the five-point plan.
