McKay's Brezlyn Schwalm wins Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week

McKay basketball player Brezlyn Schwalm is the Statesman Journal's Athlete of the Week.

Schwalm won the newspaper's poll for top area athletes, which is voted on by readers.

Against North Salem, she led the team with 27 points in the win, and against Reynolds, she led the team with 26 points, six rebounds, and two steals in the win.

Cole Steketee, Sprague wrestling: He went 5-0 at the Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Tournament at Oregon City, winning every match by pin.

Sully Hill, Dallas wrestling: He won all three matches against Lebanon, South Albany and Sweet Home.

Sadie Paterson, South Salem basketball: She had 18 points, five assists and six steals in the Saxons’ win against McMinnville.
