McKinley-Massillon Food Fight begins

The Bulldogs and Tigers have launched the Food Fight leading up to the McKinley−Massillon gridiron clash Oct. 22 at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

The two schools ask their fans to join the fight against hunger. Students, faculty and Bulldog and Tiger supporters can give non-perishable food and monetary donations as the rivals compete for bragging rights and a traveling trophy.

All donations for the McKinley−Massillon Food Fight go to Stark County Hunger Task Force to be distributed through the organization’s network of 35 pantries and Backpack for Kids programs throughout Stark County.

To join the battle, drop off food at either of the high schools; Stark County Hunger Task Force offices, 408 Ninth St. SW, Canton, or WHBC / Mix 94.1 radio stations, 550 Market Ave. S, Canton, and Levin Furniture at 6229 Promler Ave. NW, Jackson Township.

Stark County Hunger Task Force will be announcing other drop off locations throughout the month of October. Interested businesses may contact Stephanie Sweany at stephanie@starkhunger.org. Individuals and businesses interested in joining the fight by making a monetary donation by texting “MCKINLEY” or “MASSILLON” to 44-321.
