McNaney earns Big Ten weekly honor for Maryland lacrosse
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Corning grad Logan McNaney continues to impress at the next level.

Corning grad and standout goalie Logan McNaney was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week, for Maryland lacrosse on Tuesday. The 2022 NCAA Tournament MVP made a season-high 14 saves for the 4th ranked Terrapins, in a 13-12 overtime win against 6th ranked Syracuse. McNaney’s effort kept the Orange 6 goals below their season average of 18. Since returning from injury in 2023, the All-American is 3-0, totaling 39 saves, and 6 ground balls, in over 186 minutes of playing time.
McNaney and the Terrapins will look to stay perfect, when they take on the 11th ranked Princeton Tigers. The home matchup is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, and can be found on the Big Ten Network Plus.
