MCSO arrests wanted fugitive in connection with 2023 Rollins Way shooting

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office said a man wanted in connection with a 2023 shooting was arrested along with deputies discovering fentanyl, methamphetamine and marijuana worth thousands of dollars.

According to MCSO, the sheriff’s office special operations unit and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office found and arrested Jeremy Spradley. At the time of his arrest, he was being sought out by the Columbus Police Department in connection with a shooting that happened on Rollins Way on Dec. 22, 2023.

Spradley had the following outstanding warrants:

  • Felony aggravated assault

  • Felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

MCSO says during Spradley’s arrests, authorities found 127 grams of meth with an estimated worth of $12,700, 21 grams of marijuana with an estimated value of $210 and 0.8 grams of fentanyl worth an estimated $125.

MCSO says Spradley was transported to the Lee County Jail and charged with:

  • Felony trafficking methamphetamine

  • Three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance

  • First-degree felony possession of marijuana

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

  • Felony certain persons are forbidden to carry a firearm

As of now, MCSO said Spradley awaits trial and extradition to Georgia.
