MCSO looking for public help to solve burglary

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office seek public help to solve a burglary in Grand Junction.

Security footage shows two men breaking the glass door to Fruitvale Liquors and crawling into the business at around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday. Once inside, the thieves stole liquor and tobacco products, stuffing the bottles into a backpack.

Investigators describe thief No. 1 as White, 5’10” and thin. Security camera footage shows he was wearing a black jacket with a white striped sleeve, black pants, and gray shoes with white soles. Authorities believe he had a gray or beige bandana covering the lower part of his face and a black Los Angeles Angels baseball hit on his head, according to security footage.

Authorities describe thief No. 2 as White or Hispanic, 5’8″, and thin with black hair. Security camera footage shows him wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and black shoes with white soles and a white bandana covering his face during the burglary.

Investigators say the two thieves walked northbound after the burglary.

Officials estimate the property damage to be around $1200.
