Law enforcement identifies teenage boy found shot to death in Ocala

Marion County Sheriff's Office detectives have released the name of the person found deceased in a wooded area on Wednesday.

Law enforcement officials have identified the victim as Lezarius Graham. He was 17, and would be 18 in a few weeks, according to his information.

Detectives ruled the teenager's death is a homicide, as he was shot.

According to deputies, around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, they were called to the 2100 block of Northwest 43rd Street in Ocala after someone found a body in the woods by a lawn maintenance worker.

Authorities are asking for the public's assistance and to call in if they noticed anything unusual in the area between June 5-7.

Deputies said the teen was reported missing on June 7, hours before his body was discovered. Reports indicate family and friends had not heard from Lezarius since June 6. The report also states that those close to him say he never misses work and that he didn't show up on Tuesday.
