An older sister of “Mean Girls” star Lacey Chabert has died, in what the actress described as a “shocking loss.”

“Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces that I don’t know how we will ever put back together again now that you’re gone,” Chabert wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday.

“We love and adore you more than we can ever say and we will continue to forever and ever and ever.”

A cause of death has not been revealed for Wendy, who had two boys, according to the announcement.

“Our lives will never be the same without my dear sister, but we cling to the promises of Jesus that we will be together again in eternity,” Chabert, 39, wrote.

Over the summer, Chabert — who portrayed Gretchen Wieners in “Mean Girls” — shared an effusive Instagram post about Wendy and her other older sister, Crissy, in honor of National Sisters Day.

That post included a throwback photo showing the siblings as children, standing in front of a Christmas tree.

“They are the best big sisters ever and I thank God for them every day,” the actress captioned the photo at the time.

Chabert’s announcement Tuesday was met with numerous messages of condolences.

“I’m devastated and heartbroken!” actress Melissa Joan Hart commented. “I am so sorry Lacey! Sending you so much love!”

Fellow actress Danica McKellar wrote, “Oh my goodness, Lacey. I love you so much and am sending prayers and love to you. I don’t know what I could possibly do but please call on me if I can do anything at all.”
