Mechanical failure causes crash Monday
WHEATLAND TWP. — Investigators are saying a mechanical failure is to blame for a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Wheatland Township that left one hospitalized.
Hillsdale County sheriff’s deputies and other first responders were called to the area of East Bacon Road near North Waldron Road in Wheatland Township at about 7:44 a.m. Monday, May 22.
A vehicle operated by Shiana May James, 30, of Osseo was traveling eastbound on East Bacon Road when the vehicle suffered a mechanical failure causing James to lose control, run off the roadway and overturn.
Two passengers in James’ vehicle were not injured.
She was transported to Hillsdale Hospital by Addison EMS for injuries sustained in the crash.
