Mecklenburg County sends out new property values Friday. How to check your home

Mecklenburg County revaluation notices will be mailed starting Friday, but you don’t have to wait by the mailbox to see how much your property has been appraised for.

The County Assessor’s Office has an online portal where you canto look up your property value and other details about your property and its history. And the latest assessed values based on the 2023 process will be available online as notices are sent out in the mail, according to Mecklenburg County.

Here’s how to look up your property value, check out the values of other properties and correct any errors:

How to look up your Mecklenburg County property value

You can look up your property value anytime using Mecklenburg County’s online portal at property.spatialest.com/nc/mecklenburg.

To look up your property, search by owner name, address or parcel number.

You’ll also be able to see other information about your property, including:

  • Building details

  • Deeds

  • Tax bills

  • Street maps

Updated property values from the 2023 process will be available in the online portal starting Friday.

Can you look up other people’s property?

In addition to finding the latest assessed value for your property, you can also look up details about other properties in Mecklenburg County using the same system.

Like with your own home, you’ll be able to see property values, past tax bills, information on past sales and more.

You can search by owner name, address or parcel number or do an “advanced search” to filter properties by other categories such as number of bathrooms, lot size and assessed value.

You can also use the “compers” tool to see how properties similar to yours compare.

What to do if you property isn’t showing up or information is wrong

If you can’t find details about your property or any of the information about your property in the system is incorrect, you can reach out to the County Assessor’s Office for help.
