Medford woman killed in I-5 crash in Yreka

Oct. 6—A 29-year-old Medford woman was killed Tuesday in a single-car crash on Interstate 5 southbound near Yreka, California.

At 3:18 p.m., the California Highway Patrol Yreka Communications Center received a 911 call of a crash at the Yreka Creek Bridge. The caller reported that the vehicle ran off the road and would be difficult to see from the freeway, according to a CHP Facebook post.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, police said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
