Medical Release Approved For Former Whitey Bulger FBI Handler John Connolloy

John Connolly has been approved for medical release from a Florida prison.

- The former FBI agent who worked with Whitey Bulger has just been approved for medical release. John Connolly was serving a 40-year sentence in Florida for alerting Bulger that his gang could be implicated in a mob-related killing. He is said to be dying. Under the conditions of his release, Connolly must be confined to a residence or hospice facility and cannot have any firearms, alcohol, or tobacco or contact the victim's families. The review board is also asking for a medical update in 90 days.
