World of Beer returns: Six years after World of Beer closed its second of two Jacksonville-area locations, World of Beer is set to return to Northeast Florida with two new locations – one in Jacksonville and another in Jacksonville Beach – under a new Tallahassee-based franchise group. The first is expected to open in mid-March at 5105 J. Turner Butler Blvd. at Bonneval Road at Liberty Center, near Cracker Barrel, Applebee’s and more. The second, this one featuring a rooftop patio, will follow in April or May at 1198 Beach Blvd. at Beach Plaza in Jacksonville Beach, franchisee Jason Frimmel told the Times-Union's Teresa Stepzinski. Coming next week: Despite ongoing staffing shortages and supply chain issues, 2022 is shaping up to welcome a whole slew of new restaurants in the greater Jacksonville area, including the Beaches and northern St. Johns County. We’ll offer a quick look at what we know is coming and follow up with more details on many of those as we learn more in the coming weeks and months.

If you see something opening (or closing) in your neighborhood, let me know, so that I can pass that along to other readers just like you.

Thanks for reading. The news continues below.

Cheers!
