Medvedev’s comments about energy systems were official confession of terrorism – Podolyak

"It's fantastic! through the mouth of Medvedev, the Kremlin has frankly said they are going to destroy energy system of Ukraine and terrorize millions of people until Ukraine surrenders,” Podolyak wrote on Twitter on Oct. 28.
“It's the (Russian) government's confession of terrorism. What negotiations are possible? With whom?"
According to Podolyak, Medvedev was trying to blackmail Ukraine, claiming the stable work of energy infrastructure would be possible only if Ukraine "agrees to confirm the legitimacy of Russia's demands.”
Electricity transmission system operator Ukrenergo reported on Oct. 27 that it was introducing longer emergency blackouts in Kyiv after the latest Russian attack on the country’s energy infrastructure.
Due to the Russian strikes, a number of critical facilities were put out of operation. As a result, there is a power shortage amounting to about 30% of consumption in the city of Kyiv and the surrounding region.
The schedules of stabilization outages, which were drawn up earlier, are no longer relevant. Stricter and longer power cuts will be introduced in the coming days.

Russia has targeted crucial and energy infrastructure across the country since Oct. 10.
On Oct. 18, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the aggressor state had damaged more than 30% of the power plants in Ukraine. He called the Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy and critical infrastructure a new type of terror attack.
