DANIIL MEDVEDEV: I think, yeah, it can give me a lot for my future career. I mean, to beat Dominic, the way he played today and to manage to beat him is probably my best victory to my life, not even talking about the title itself. I mean, to win a Masters being undefeated, I mean, honestly I would even-- I know I can play good. But I would not believe it if you would tell me this before the tournament. So great boost-- boost of confidence for all the slams coming up and all the tournaments. Hopefully I can-- can continue this way.

Means a lot, shows what I'm capable of when I'm playing good, when I'm feeling good mentally, physically. So I know what I'm capable of. Just need to producing more and more, and hopefully more matches like this, as they say.

I think it should be remembered for all these great matches and great tournaments that finally happened to be there. We know that Australia is not a sure thing in January. So I think it should be remembered for this end of the year, which was amazing even without the crowd for tennis as a sport.

DOMINIC THIEM: We proved that we can play with the legends, that we can also beat them, that we can also win the biggest tournaments. And I think next few years, the big three are still-- still will play for every big title.

But I guess there's still going to be a time when those guys will retire, I don't know, in three, four, five years. And then I guess we will be the favorites for all the big titles. And I think for tennis, it-- some exciting times are coming ahead.

[INAUDIBLE] and also Andy, they did so much for the sport. I think they brought so many people to tennis, so many new fans to tennis. So-- and as I said, there's going to be a time when they are not around anymore. And then it's going to be so important to keep all the tennis fans, to keep them with this great sport.

And I think that's our challenge, that we perform well, that we play great in big tournaments, that we become huge stars ourself. It's super important for tennis in general because, I mean, they gave so much to the sport. And yeah, as I said, that's our challenge, to keep all those people with tennis and to maybe continue their story.

I think it was a-- or it is still a very tough year for many, many people. And we, athletes and I'm speaking of tennis players, we are very privileged to do our jobs. And if I speak about the tennis, if I speak about my job, I mean, it has been an outstanding year.

I've reached one of my big lifetime goals with winning that Grand Slam. So even though it's-- it's a tough year, it will always have a special place in my heart, that year, 100%.

But beside that, I hope that this pandemic is going to come to end very soon, that people can start to work again, can have a normal life again. And I hope that it's coming, well, to an end as soon as possible.
