Meet the 2022 Northeast Florida All-Division II college football team

All across the southern United States, and beyond, the First Coast made its presence felt on the Division II gridiron.

The Times-Union selects its eighth All-First Coast Division II team, an annual tradition with the exception of the COVID-19 stoppage in 2020. The roster includes several area players from Gulf South Conference schools West Florida and Valdosta State, in addition to multiple honorees from Edward Waters University and other schools in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

While the Gulf South and the SIAC accounted for a significant number of the area's football stars this year in D-II, area players made an impact all over. In the midwest, Chad Dodson (Bartram Trail) and Jaedon Stoshak (University Christian) excelled at Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern, while in New Mexico, former Baker County lineman Quan Griffin earned conference honors.

In all, 149 players from Jacksonville-area high schools were listed on rosters at the NCAA Division II level for college football during the 2022 season. That represents a slight decrease from the 162 on rosters nationwide in 2021.

The decrease was in part connected to several notable transfers, including quarterback Austin Reed and offensive lineman Cole LeClair, who transferred to NCAA Division I institutions.

OFFENSE
