Meet The 30+ Candidates In NYC's 2021 Mayoral Race

NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Bill de Blasio has some free advice for anyone who wants to move into Gracie Mansion.

“I wouldn’t urge anyone to want to be mayor of New York City," he said with a wry smile in October.

But at least 38 New Yorkers didn't take that advice — that's the number of candidates who filed the initial paperwork to enter the 2021 mayoral race to replace de Blasio, who is term-limited.

Some candidates already dropped their interest, such as Staten Island's Max Rose. Other rumored potential candidates, like billionaire John Catsimatidis, haven't filed or officially declared their interest.

Here's an overview of all the candidate who, so far, made it official and kept it that way.
