Ira Sukrungruang: The Kenyon College creative writing professor and author will talk about his memoir, “This Jade World,” with Ohio State University creative writing professor Lee Martin in an in-store event at 7 p.m. Jan. 26, at Gramercy Books, 2424 E. Admission to the event is free but registration is required. The book may be purchased upon registry. Proof of full vaccination or a recent negative COVID19 test and masks are required to attend. To register, go to www.gramercybooksbexley.com or call 614-867-5515.

Doreen Uhas-Sauer and Tom Betti: The authors of the new book, “Forgotten Landmarks,” will appear in a free, live virtual event hosted by the Columbus Metropolitan Library at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27. In their new book and their previous books (“Historic Hotels of Columbus” and “Historic Taverns of Columbus”), Uhas-Sauer and Betti capture stories of a forgotten Columbus. Participants of this virtual event will be able to engage in a life chat with the speakers. For more information and to register, go to www.columbuslibrary.org.
