Meet Bread and Butter, the turkeys eligible for a Trump pardon
"This is the first presidential flock that's American Humane Certified," Kerry Doughty, chairman of the National Turkey Federation, told reporters on Monday morning.
"[They] make sure they give us a third set of eyes in our operations to make sure we're doing the best things that we can, from a welfare standpoint."
The 'presidential flock' of turkeys are, per tradition, introduced at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Trump is expected to pardon the Turkeys on Tuesday, in a tradition that dates back to the presidency of George H. W. Bush.
