Meet the candidates running for Minburn City Council in 2023
Two candidates are vying for two seats on the Minburn City Council, including incumbent Meaghan Bennett and Jared Mills.
Dallas County News asked each candidate to respond to questions on why they're running and the issues their district/community is facing. Their answers may be lightly edited for clarity or length.
Mills did not respond to the questionnaire.
The election is Nov. 7.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Minburn City Council since 2019
Why are you running?
Meaghan Bennett: To continue to be a voice for the community.
What is the biggest issue facing your community and how would you address it?
Meaghan Bennett: The biggest issue that our community faces is our water system. We are currently working with Zach Nunn and the DNR to implement a new water system.
What is your vision for growth in the community?
Meaghan Bennett: For the city/community to expand and thrive with new local businesses along the bike trail.
