Meet the Cast of Netflix's "Deaf U" Before You Start Your Bingewatch
While college campuses around the country remain closed due to the coronavirus, Netflix's latest series, Deaf U, is giving us a special glimpse into one college and it's students that you're definitely going to be obsessed with. Get ready to meet just some of the kids at Gallaudet University, one of the few colleges for Deaf students in the country. Cheyenna is a Deaf influencer and YouTuber. She often finds herself at odds with the Gallaudet Elite due to her videos. She is very into fashion and is very close with her BFF Cameron.
Rodney Burford

Rodney is a player on the Gallaudet football team. He is a self-presumed bad boy and is interested in Cheyenna. He has a cochlear implant and is from New York.

Alexa is a part of the Deaf "elite" and comes from a family filled with generations of Deaf members. Despite growing up with that group, she hopes to become her own person and doesn't always accept the ideals for the elite. She is not afraid to get what she wants and has had a lot of romantic encounters with several other Deaf U cast members.

Renate is a senior at Gallaudet university who is unafraid of speaking her mind on various topics include human and environmental rights. She is interested in poetry and is currently dating her GF, Tayla.
Daequan Taylor

Daequan is a member of the Gallaudet football team and one of the many students at the college who was born into a hearing family. He is unable to hear from his left ear due to getting sick and having a seizure when he was six-years-old.
