From Las Vegas, Nevada, 35-year-old Dan Reynolds is the lead singer of the pop rock band Imagine Dragons, which is best known for hit songs like “Believer,” “Thunder,” “Radioactive,” “Demons,” “Enemy,” and “Natural.” In just over 10 years, Imagine Dragons has released six studio albums: 2012’s Night Visions, 2015’s Smoke + Mirrors, 2017’s Evolve, 2018’s Origins, 2021’s Mercury – Act I and 2022’s Mercury – Act II.
In recent times, Reynolds has been receiving a lot of attention from the internet for being an absolute stud and a fierce ally to the LGBTQ+ community. After growing up as a member of the Mormon Church, Reynolds began to speak out against the organization’s extremely dangerous and problematic views on LGBTQ+ people. This ultimately culminated in him launching a foundation called LOVELOUD Festival, which has as a core mission to “ignite the vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love, understand, support, accept and celebrate our LGBTQ+ friends and family.”
Over time, Reynolds and LOVELOUD have donated money to organizations like GLAAD and The Trevor Project. The singer was also personally awarded the Trevor Hero Award in 2017 for the work he’s done for young queer people. In 2018, Reynolds released the HBO documentary film Believer, which centered around LGBTQ+ youth suicides in Utah as a result of spiritual doctrines from the Mormon Church.
Besides all of his ongoing advocacy for LGBTQ+ people, it also helps that Reynolds is an absolute heartthrob and enjoys taking his shirt quite often during concerts. Put it all together and it is easy to understand why the gays are so obsessed with him right now!
