Three years into the pandemic, our lives continue to be shaped by COVID-19, as we reach the mid-point of the Biden presidency and anticipate the 2024 campaign.

Once again, we want to pause and take notice of the people in our state who work, both in the limelight and behind the scenes, to influence this place we call home, and who continue to shape its future.

For the third year, Delaware Online/The News Journal sought to highlight those who have a big impact in the First State – from political and legal leaders to those in the sectors of business, entertainment, sports, education, health and social justice

For the first time, we have included a social media category, for leaders with great viral influence in spaces including TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

We will unveil our Most Influential people on Tuesday, March 21.

But before that, we will introduce you to our inaugural Delaware Influencers Hall of Fame at noon on Monday, March 20, as we install our first nine members, all highly influential people who appeared on our lists in 2021 and 2022.

It's a given that you won't agree with all of our selections. That's to be expected. This group is more about who had an impact on our lives rather than popularity contest.

These lists are in no way comprehensive. But they’re important, as a means of recognizing those working hard throughout our state, or whose actions alter a significant aspect about it, and as a reminder of who to watch throughout 2023 and beyond.
