Meet the latest Times-Union Northeast Florida high school Athlete of the Week

The results are in.

Fletcher's Taylor Sweat is the Times-Union's 21st Northeast Florida Athlete of the Week for high school sports in 2021-22.

The junior goalkeeper allowed only one goal in the Gateway Conference tournament, helping the Senators to their second consecutive Duval County public school championship.

For the season, she has helped Fletcher record seven shutouts while rising to seventh in the statewide rankings for Class 7A.

She earned first place in a vote that also included Englewood's Jediah Ford (boys basketball), Jackson's Jazmine Jackson (girls basketball), Mandarin's Antonio Mancinotti (boys soccer) and Fleming Island's Jayce Paridon (wrestling).
