Meet Nepal’s school-going ‘Living Goddess’

STORY: Meet Ojaswi Ghulu, Nepal's 'Living Goddess'

Location: Kavrepalanchok, Nepal

She was chosen when she was only eight months old

and is considered to be the incarnation

of the Hindu goddess of power, Kali

But even goddesses need schooling

She attends classes like other children

and takes part in activities

School authorities say they pay extra attention

to ensure the area around her is always clean

PRINCIPAL, ARUNODAYA ENGLISH SECONDARY SCHOOL, PANAUTI, BISHNU PRASAD DAHAL: "She should be separated while eating also or while playing also she should not be disturbed by others or even while walking also she should walk very properly because if any incidence occur that is taken as bad one, that's why we are very sensitive on this matter and our all the students also know her and they also behave accordingly."

Ghulu appears in regalia only twice a year

and will retire when she reaches puberty
