Hometown: Hollywood, Florida

Acquired: Trade from the Ravens along with a 2022 third-round pick (No.100 overall) in exchange for the Cardinals’ first-round pick (No.23 overall)

Became the first player in NFL history to have two 40+ yard touchdown receptions in a career debut after his first two catches went for a 47-yard touchdown and an 83-yard touchdown during a 59-10 rout of Miami.

Quote: “It was very tough. That was one of the toughest things was leaving Lamar. I talked to him, he understood. We’re still cool at the end of the day.” – Brown on leaving Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to be reunited with Kyler Murray, his former college teammate at OU.

He finished last season with 71 tackles, 20½ for loss, 11½ sacks and 21 QB hurries. His tackles for loss set tied the Mountain West single-season record. Had at least one sack in nine straight games.

Quote: “I’m an outside linebacker, I definitely can help rush the edge. And I have experience on the inside, so I can help out there, too. I’m excited to get after those big franchise quarterbacks, I’m so pumped up.” – Thomas

He finished last season with 62 total QB pressures, which led the AAC, and he recorded 27 pressures in his final four games. Was a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award in 2020. He finished that season with 31 tackles, 10½ for loss, 7 sacks and five passes defensed in just 10 games.

Quote: “What I know about the Cardinals is that they’re the best defense for me. I knew they wanted the best for me when I came to visit, and I know that I can depend on them to put me in the best position to be a great NFL football player.” – Sanders

Keaontay Ingram

Position: Running back

Vitals: 6-0, 221

Hometown: Carthage, Texas

Acquired: Sixth-round pick (No.201 overall), USC

March 4: USC running back Keaontay Ingram performs the broad jump.
March 4: USC running back Keaontay Ingram performs the broad jump.

Career highlights: Spent his first three collegiate seasons at Texas, where he rushed 142 times for 708 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games as a freshman. Ingram followed that up by running for 853 yards and seven TDs as a sophomore. After losing some playing time to younger backs as a junior, he transferred to USC where last season, he led the Trojans in rushing (156 carries for 911 yards) in 10 games and tallied five TDs. He also caught 22 passes for 155 yards. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry in his college career.

Quote: “Oh, most definitely. Especially with me being a bigger back and being able to move and play between the tackles, play in open space. Seeing coach (Kliff) Kingsbury and what he did at Texas Tech and seeing them play over the years, I feel like that’s something I can fit right into so man, I’m excited.” – Ingram on possibly stepping into the role as Arizona’s No.2 running back behind James Conner.

Lecitus Smith

Position: Guard

Vitals: 6-3, 314

Hometown: Fitzgerald, Georgia

Acquired: Sixth-round pick (No.215 overall),

Career highlights: Three-year starter in college who also made four starts as a redshirt freshman. Began football career as a tight end but transitioned to guard in college and brings some decent intangibles. NFL Media draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said “there is some nasty to his game.” The knock on Smith two years ago was that he was a very good run blocker but needed help with his pass blocking. This year, those evaluations were reversed by some scouts, but Smith said he plans to improve his game overall and will earn whatever role comes to him with the Cardinals.

Quote: “Without a doubt. I feel like it gives me a fighting chance and the thing is, I’m a guy who comes with no ego. It’s not like I’m coming in and I’m hoping a guard spot is open. I’m completely willing to work, but at the same time I want to know that I have a chance, that even though they kind of have that starting offensive line put up on the board, I can still have a fighting chance to win a spot so that’s something that’s pretty cool to me.” – Smith upon being told that the guard position was an area of need for the Cardinals.

Christian Matthew

Position: Cornerback

Vitals: 6-2, 195

Hometown: Columbus, Georgia

Acquired: Seventh-round pick (No.244 overall), Valdosta State

Career highlights: Played for three different programs, attending Georgia Southern and Samford before transferring to Valdosta State, where last season he finished with 37 tackles, 14 passes defensed and an interception that he returned 40 yards for a touchdown. Was a first-team All-Gulf South Conference selection.

Jesse Luketa

Position: Outside linebacker/defensive end

Vitals: 6-3, 253

Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario

Acquired: Seventh-round pick (No.256 overall), Penn State

Career highlights: Moved from inside linebacker to an edge rusher. Totaled 151 tackles in college, including 11½ for loss and had one interception that he returned for a touchdown. Only had a half-sack in college. Finished with 61 tackles last season, including 8½ for loss. He excels as a run defender and because he played mostly defensive end in 2021, the Cardinals believe they can use him both inside and outside as well.

Quote: “Tremendously. Jim Nagy (Executive Director of the Senior Bowl) said the draft starts in Mobile (Alabama) and being able to go out there and compete throughout that week with the best of the best was extremely beneficial to myself.” – Luketa on how his performance at the Senior Bowl helped him get drafted.

Marquis Hayes

Position: Guard

Vitals: 6-5, 318

Hometown: St. Louis, Missouri

Acquired: Seventh-round pick (No.257 overall), Oklahoma

Career highlights: Was one of the top five guard recruits in the nation coming out of Pattonville High School. Started 37 games at left guard for the Sooners, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors last season. Has great size, strength and power and plays with a high, physical motor and yet is mobile enough to get out and move along the line. Opened some eyes at the Senior Bowl and he’s a prospect who should stick around at the NFL level.

Quote: “I know Kyler (Murray). We’re good friends – and ‘Jet’ also, Hollywood Brown – so that’s some good familiar relationships right there. Those are two fantastic players and two fantastic people off the field also so just to be around that in the camaraderie, I feel good.” -- Hayes
