Meet Old Rochester Regional High School's Top 10 graduates of 2023

MATTAPOISETT — The following students were named to the Top 10 of Old Rochester Regional High School's class of 2023.

Theodore Carroll
Theodore Carroll

Teddy Carroll, of Fairhaven, is the valedictorian of the Class of 2023, and the son of Erich and Jill Carroll. Teddy served as Class and Executive Board Student Council Vice Presidents, DECA President and Vice President of Finance, as a school AmbassadOR, and was a member of the school’s NHS chapter. In the community, Teddy volunteered at Gifts to Give and a local church for meal service. Additionally, Teddy was a three-season runner and a captain on the track and cross-country teams. Teddy will attend Brown University.

Caitlin Collier
Caitlin Collier

Caitlin Collier, of Mattapoisett, is the daughter of Sarah and Jeremy Collier. Caitlin served her community through an organization called Project 351, a youth-led non-profit that engages students from each of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts in impactful service. Through her time with Project 351, she has had the honor to serve with the Patriots Foundation, the Celtics Playbook Initiative, the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, the Martin Richard Foundation, Cradles to Crayons, and many other incredible organizations that serve the Commonwealth, and beyond. Caitlin’s dedication to service has earned her the Presidential Service Award for 3 years during her high school career. Caitlin was also a member of the Mock Trial Club, Math Team, Community Service Learning Club, Latin Club, and she was a member of the National Honor Society where she was the Chair of the Tutoring Initiative. Caitlin will be attending Florida State University in the fall where she will be in the Honors College, studying Actuarial Science.

David Costa
David Costa

David Costa, of Marion, is the son of Victor Capeto Costa and Rita Senra Costa. David was a member of the Math Team, Esports Club, Student Council, Jazz Band, Music Appreciation Club, and a Co-Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. During his time at Old Rochester, outside of school he could be found at events for any of these activities, including Band/Jazz Band concerts, Math meets, Competitive Overwatch matches, helping with student council fundraisers, and more. David will attend Wentworth Institute of Technology where he will study Computer Science.

Paige Fuller
Paige Fuller

Paige Fuller, of Marion, is the daughter of Bryan and Lucy Fuller. Paige was inducted into the National Honors Society. She served as Secretary on the Executive Board of the Student Council, was the Vice President of Communications on DECA, and was a Plenipotentiary member of the Ambassadors Club. She also was a member of AFS (American Field Service). Additionally, Paige was a student leader of the Community Service Learning Club. She often tutored younger students at the junior high and created a program that allowed high school students to volunteer at Damien's Place, a local food pantry. Paige will be attending Elon University where she will major in International Business and Marketing and minor in Spanish.

Sakurako Huynh-Aoyama
Sakurako Huynh-Aoyama

Sakurako Huynh-Aoyama is the daughter of Momoko Aoyama and Bao Huynh. Sakurako is the Founder of ORR’s first BIPOC club and served as President of the AFS Club. She was also a Delegate for the South East Regional Student Advisory Council, Vice President of Hospitality for DECA, and Treasurer of the Drama Club while being a member of the Jazz Band, National Honor Society, and Math Team. In the community, she volunteered for Greater Boston STEM, the VASE program at Sippican Elementary School, and the Mattapoisett Library Teen Advisory Board. In addition, every Saturday, she attended the Japanese Language School of Boston for over 7 years. Sakurako will be majoring in finance while attending the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst and has accepted admission to the Commonwealth Honors College.

Mackenzie Luong
Mackenzie Luong

Mackenzie Luong, of Marion, is the daughter of Thanh Vo and Nhan Luong.  Mackenzie was a member of the National Honor Society, Math Team, Tea Club, Track and Field, and a varsity Valorant player in the E-Sports Club.  In addition, Mackenzie served a role in Student Council all four years, working her way up from Class Treasurer to the Executive Branch.  Mackenzie was a co-founder of ORR’s first BIPOC Club promoting a more inclusive and diverse environment.  In the community, Mackenzie volunteers as a student teacher at the Vietnamese Bo Do Temple every Sunday. Mackenzie is the proud recipient of the AP Capstone Diploma and an AP Scholar with Distinction. Mackenzie will attend Smith College.

Landon Maxwell
Landon Maxwell

Landon Maxwell, of Marion, is the son of Heidi and Jared, and served as the President of the National Honor Society. Throughout his time at ORR, he participated in Football, Basketball, and Track. He was named to the Standard-Times All-Star Team in Football. Additionally, he was a member of the AmbassadOR club. Landon will pursue a degree in Finance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Reagan Rock
Reagan Rock

Reagan Rock, of Mattapoisett, is the daughter of Cynthia and Michael Rock. Reagan was inducted into the National Honors Society. She was the captain of the returning state champion volleyball team after playing since freshman year, and currently rows for Watuppa Rowing Center in Fall River, MA. She served as a South East Regional Student Advisory Council representative, has been on the Student Council all four years, and was on the Plenipotentiary Board member of the Ambassador Club. She also participated in DECA and served as VP of Marketing. Reagan is a math tutor and volunteers with the United Way of Greater New Bedford “Mobile Market”, distributing fresh vegetables in urban areas. Reagan will be majoring in Biology on a pre-medical track at Boston College, and will also compete on the BC rowing team.

Samuel Williamson
Samuel Williamson

Samuel Williamson, of Marion, is the son of Sarah Mendes and Roger Williamson. Samuel was a member of the National Honor Society, Mock Trial, and a senator on the Student Council. Additionally, he played Soccer and lacrosse, taking home the South Coast Conference Sportsmanship Award. In the community, he participated at the local library and was an alumnus of Project 351. Samuel will attend Northeastern University.

Sarah Wyman
Sarah Wyman

Sarah Wyman, of Marion, is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2023, and the daughter of Barry and Suzanne Wyman. Sarah was a member of the Student Council, DECA, AFS, AmbassadORs, National Honor Society, and Latin Club. She served a role in Student Council all four years, working her way up from Class Secretary to Executive Board President in her senior year. She was an active member of DECA in her four years, serving on the executive board for her junior and senior years and placing top five at the state level, qualifying for international competition twice. In the community, she volunteered at the local land trusts and district elementary schools. Sarah will attend Boston College in the Carroll School of Management.
