Meet the Queen of Carnival 2024, Elizabeth Brent Montgomery
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The secret is out. The Queen of Carnival 2024 is Elizabeth Brent Montgomery.
Montgomery is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bullard Montgomery IV. Her mother is the former Courtney Scott Butcher of New Orleans.
She attended Trinity Episcopal and Isidore New Schools, and she is currently a senior at the University of Alabama pursuing a career in marketing.

At every level of her education, she states that she’s made certain to give back to the community. “I’ve always loved doing service, I’ve always loved being involved, and I’ve done it since I was a little girl. So, whenever there is an opportunity for me to be able to give back or help or just be involved in anything, I take advantage of it and will always,” said Montgomery.
Many generations of Montgomery’s family have served the Rex Organization and her great, great, great, great grandfather, Albert Baldwin, was King of Carnival in 1876.
