Meet the top students of Pickford's graduating class

PICKFORD — Jacqueline Brace is the Pickford High School Senior Scholar for the Class of 2023. The title is given to the first in class for graduating seniors.

Daughter of Tonya and Chris Brace, Brace is graduating from Pickford with a 3.978 GPA, the highest in her class. Throughout her high school career, Brace was a member of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, the Pickford Chapter of the National Honor Society, and played clarinet in the Pickford High School band.

When Brace graduates, she will be attending the University of Michigan for a bachelor's degree in creative writing and literature. She plans on using that degree to pursue a career in book editing.

"The last four years have been a wild ride," said Brace. "I hope all of my fellow graduates are proud of the hard work they have put into making it this far. I wish everyone the best of luck on wherever their journey leads."

Aaron Heal
Aaron Heal

Aaron Heal, son of Kory and Rhonda Heal, will be graduating with a 3.958 GPA as the salutatorian of Pickford High.

While in high school, he was a part of the track and football teams and participated in the debate team, Quiz Bowl and was part of the Cyber Security Club.

After graduating, Heal plans on majoring in wildlife biology as an undergraduate before going to his destination school Northwestern Nazarene University in Idaho to earn a master's in paleontology.
