STERLING — The corn maze at Davis Farmland was damaged by fire early Tuesday, with owners of the entertainment spot blaming vandals.

"We are now putting our focus on rebuilding what was burned down and preparing for Davis Farmland’s Mega Maze to open in mid-September," the owners said in a statement.

The Sterling Fire Department and the state fire marshal are investigating.

The Davis Farmland Discovery Farm is open.

The fire, reported shortly before 4 a.m., was put out by firefighters after burning a small section of the maze, according to the Fire Department.
