Mega Millions $1 million winning ticket sold in Passaic County

One lucky lottery player in Passaic County walked away with a cool million in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, the New Jersey Lottery announced on Monday.

The ticket, which matched all five white balls, was sold at Dave’s Variety on Clifton Avenue in Clifton. It was one of four tickets nationwide in Friday's drawing to win million-dollar prizes.

In addition, there were two other New Jersey tickets to win third-tier $10,000 prizes by matching four white balls and the Mega Ball. Those were sold at a 7-Eleven on Maple Avenue in Red Bank and the River Rock Sports Bar & Grille on Route 70 in Brick.

In addition 11 New Jerseyans matched four white balls to win $500 and three of those had the Megaplier to increased their prize to $2,000. Also, the NJ Lottery says another 26,102 NJ tickets won $133,044 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800.

The Mega Millions winning numbers for Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 were: 11 - 32 - 43 - 57 - 70 and Megaball 6. The Megaplier was 4x.

The New Jersey Lottery announced Monday that a $10,000 Mega Millions winning ticket was sold at the Junior Smoke Shop on W Palisade Avenue in Englewood for the Oct. 24 drawing.

Mega millions jackpot hits $159M

There was no winner in Friday night's drawing so the jackpot will climb to an estimated $159 million with a cash option of $69.4 million for Tuesday's drawing.

The jackpot was last won on Oct. 6 when a lottery player in Texas won a $360 million jackpot.

How do I play Mega Millions?

The cost is $2 per ticket, but you can add the Megaplier for $1, which will increase the amount of your potential prize up to five times the original prize (except for the jackpot).

Each player selects five numbers from 1 to 70 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 25 for the Mega Ball. However, you can also have the lottery machine generate a random Quick Pick for you.
