Did you buy your Mega Millions ticket in Florida? If so, you might have just won a recording-breaking $1.58 billion jackpot.

The Mega Millions jackpot is the largest ever, beating out the previous record of $1.537 billion, won on Oct. 23, 2018. The winning ticket was sold at a Publix in Neptune Beach, Florida.

The jackpot has been on the rise since spring, when a $20 million prize was won in Syracuse, New York, on April 18. Five other Mega Millions jackpots have been won this year, including a $1.348 billion haul in January, which at the time was the second-largest prize in the lottery game's history.

The winning numbers for Tuesday night's drawing were 13, 19, 20, 32, 33, and the Mega Ball was 14. The Megaplier was 2X.

One jackpot ticket was told in Florida. Tickets in California, Texas, West Virginia and Pennsylvania matched 5 numbers and tickets in Florida and North Carolina matched 5 plus the Megaplier.

When is the next Mega Millions drawing?

Numbers are drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays. The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, Aug. 11, at 11 p.m.

How much could you win?

Winning numbers in the next jackpot drawing on Tuesday would receive an estimated 20 million. Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, with one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.

Winners can also choose a one-time lump sum payment. A jackpot winner in Tuesday's drawing would receive an estimated $9/9 million lump-sum cash payment before taxes.

How many lotto numbers in Mega Millions do you need to win a prize?

You only need to match one number to win a prize: the Mega Ball, worth $2. If you do not match the Mega Ball, you will need a minimum of three white balls to win a prize, worth $10.

How to play the Mega Millions

Mega Millions costs $2 to play.

There are nine total ways to win, with prizes ranging from $2 to the entire jackpot.

  • Match 5 White Balls + Mega Ball: Jackpot

  • Match 5 White Balls: $1 million

  • Match 4 White Balls + Mega Ball: $10,000

  • Match 4 White Balls: $500

  • Match 3 White Balls + Mega Ball: $200

  • Match 3 White Balls: $10

  • Match 2 White Balls + Mega Ball: $10

  • Match 1 White Ball + Mega Ball: $4

  • Match Mega Ball: $2

Players can pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers: five different numbers from the white balls numbered 1-70 and one number from the gold balls numbered 1-25.
