Mega Millions Jan. 21 drawing: Still time to buy tickets, jackpot up to $376 million

The last Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday produced no grand prize winners, so there's still time to purchase your tickets for a chance to win the jackpot on Friday.

The grand prize is now up to an estimated $376 million with a cash option of $256.4 million, the largest since September.

In Tuesday's drawing, there was a Match 5 winner from Maryland and Match 5 + Megaplier winners from North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.

The winning numbers Tuesday were 4, 19, 39, 42 and 52. The Megaball was 9 and the Megaplier was 4x.

The last Mega Millions jackpot, worth $108 million, was won on Oct. 22 by a family in Arizona.

The next pool closes at 10:45 p.m. Friday and the drawing starts at 11 p.m.

When is the Mega Millions drawing?

Drawings are every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next drawing is this Friday, Jan. 21.

Mega Millions payout

Tickets to Mega Millions cost $2 per play.

There are nine total ways to win a prize, from the jackpot to $2.

Pick five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Megaball number from 1 to 25. Choose Easy Pick or Quick Pick to have the terminal randomly pick numbers for you. You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in the drawing.

What's the Megaplier?

Most states offer the Megaplier feature, which increases non-jackpot prizes from two, three, four and five times.

It costs an additional $1 per play. Before each regular Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier is drawn. From a pool of 15 balls, five are marked with "2X," three with "4X" and one with "5X."
