Wisconsinites can now enjoy bus access to 37 destinations from Milwaukee after bus service Megabus announced that it is working with Indian Trails to increase routes across Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan.

With 21 possible routes in Wisconsin, here is what you need to know about the expanded services.

What is Megabus?

Megabus is one of the largest bus transportation companies in North America where it focuses a multitude of routes while still providing inexpensive prices for its customers.

Megabus has major North American transportation hubs around the US and Canada, where it serves more than 100 cities and university campuses.

What new stops were added?

Under the new partnership with Indian Trails Megabus will now offer service to 90 cities in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.

This includes trips between Ann Arbor and 20 cities, Detroit and 23 cities,  Lansing and 20 cities, Green Bay and 18 cities, and Milwaukee and 18 cities.

What buses can you take in Wisconsin?

For the three most populous cities in Wisconsin, the additional routes now mean that Milwaukee offers routes to 37 destinations, Green Bay offers routes to 33 destinations and Madison offers routes to 18 destinations. These routes include service to major hubs like Minnesota- St. Paul and Chicago.

In Wisconsin, Megabus offers service to 21 destinations, including places like Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Appleton, Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan, Manitoc, Oshkosh and Eau Claire.

When did the new service start?

New routes In Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin started on April 3 and tickets are available to purchase here. To see the departure and arrival times of specific routes you can go to the Megabus website.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices will fluctuate depending on the length of the trip but a trip within the state can often be bought for $20 to $30. Trips outside of the state, such as to Minneapolis, can run closer to $50.
