The Hot Girl Coach sat down with Forbes Senior Writer Jabari Young to discuss the trajectory of her career, music and more. When Young mentioned to her that she is the first Black woman in this spot she replied “It’s really hard to be the first something in 2022, so ahh.”

Forbes estimated that Megan Thee Stallion earned about $13 million in 2022. Her monetary successes are reported to be from a combination of royalties, ticket sales, endorsements, and merch. When talking about her work ethic she says “I can’t slow down right now. I’ll take a break when I’m dead. I’m trying to really build something. When I start sitting, I feel like I’m not doing enough or I’m giving somebody else the opportunity to pass me.”

The rapper was also able to open up to the publication about her vulnerability in her music. Her latest album, “Traumazine” was her most personal project yet. “This album was really personal to me. This is like the first time I ever talked about things that I’m feeling or talked about things that I’m going through. So, it kind of made me nervous to write these songs. It makes me nervous to perform some of these songs. To be vulnerable can make me a little nervous sometimes,” she mentions.

Some of the biggest take aways from the interview however, are updates that the hotties would love to hear. The article concluded with what the rapper has up her sleeve. She discusses a new album and world tour that’s set for 2023. The article also touches on a Netflix deal and an upcoming comedy based on her childhood. It also touches on her TIME Studios documentary, for which she is being paid $3 million.
