Megan Thee Stallion Claims Record Label 1501 Is Embezzling Money Made From Her Music, And She’s Seeing None Of It

Megan Thee Stallion‘s issues with her record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, have reached a new height as the rapper claims CEO Carl Crawford is draining the label’s bank accounts without paying her.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old filed a new motion on Thursday, in which she says Crawford is embezzling money made from her hits while she has yet to see a penny.

According to the motion, the Houston native’s biggest concern is the company’s current financial standing. She claims 1501’s main business account only has $10,000 left. However, much more than that was deposited. Though that figure is redacted in the documents, Megan says it’s in the millions.

The “Body” rapper doesn’t think those alleged millions just disappeared. Instead, she believes Crawford, J. Prince and Gee Roberson, all involved in running the label, are pocking that money for themselves.

Megan asks the judge to bring in a third party to handle 1501’s finances.

The rapper has been fighting with 1501 for the last three years, speaking out about the “bullying and strong-armed tactics” used by some executives at the label for the first time in 2020, TMZ reported.

Since then, she’s taken Crawford and the label to court several times over disputes about her recording contract, royalties and overall treatment. Some of her requests are still pending in court.

According to TMZ, Megan filed this most recent motion to ensure that, should a judge rule in her favor, 1501 will have the money she believes she deserves.
