Megan Thee Stallion knows how to rock a red carpet. The rapper stepped out for the launch of this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, celebrating her history-making cover at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
Megan wore a custom Natalia Fedner gown with a gem-adorned neckline and straps. The gown had a dramatic slit that started at her hip, which was held together by threads covered in gems, down her leg.
Megan finished off the look with gem-adorned stilettos, diamond drop earrings, and a bold ear cuff. Her hair was styled in a spiky up-do that matched the rockstar vibe of the venue and the guitar she posed with on the red carpet.
The Sports Illustrated cover was the 26-year-old's second history-making moment this year, after she became the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to take home the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Megan has also become known as a fashionista, giving stunning performance looks and modeling for campaigns with Coach, Savage x Fenty, and Revlon.
In an interview for Harper's BAZAAR's March 2021 issue, Megan shared that she’s been experimenting with a softer, more natural approach off the red carpet.
“I’m realizing that I don’t have to be in full glam every time you see me, because I’m just getting more comfortable with myself and more comfortable with my skin. I know that I’m a person that everybody looks to, and they’re like, ‘Oh, Megan, she’s a confident woman. She’s so strong.’ But you have to go through things to become that person.”
