Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared their first royal Christmas card together. However, instead of posing for a seasonal new portrait, the couple used a romantic behind-the-scenes shot from their wedding reception in May.

The black and white image, taken by photographer Chris Allerton, shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with their arms around each other, looking out at the fireworks during their celebration at Frogmore House. Harry is all suited up, while Meghan looks glam in her high-neck white silk gown by Stella McCartney-her second wedding dress of the day.

Public photos from the Sussex's wedding reception in Windsor are nearly nonexistent, considering the high security at the private event. Not even the official portraits from the palace included images from the secretive afterparty. The couple's Christmas card technically marks the first picture the couple has shared from the evening celebration.

Meghan celebrated her first royal Christmas last year, when she and Prince Harry were still engaged, joining the family for their annual festivities at Sandringham, the Queen's countryside estate in Norfolk. The couple is expected to do the same thing this year.

"She really enjoyed it," Harry told Barack Obama in a BBC radio interview. "The family loved having her there. There's always that family part of Christmas, there's always that work element as well. And I think together we had an amazing time."

He added, "We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running around with the kids. Christmas was fantastic."

Here's to another fantastic holiday for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
