Meghan Markle Just Used Cupcakes On Instagram To Seemingly Respond To A Rough Week Of Press

It's been a tough week for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. They've been dealing with a ton of negative attention following a private jet trip to France (though many of their celeb pals stuck up for them in the press!) and, as always, rumors are circulating about a rift in the royal family.

But rather than release a snarky statement or shy away from it all, Meghan used her platform to shed some light on a cause that deserves attention with a simple Insta of some cupcakes.

They shared how they’ve rebuilt their lives following their challenging life experiences, and the significant role that Luminary Bakery has played in helping with their personal restoration. The Duchess of Sussex chose to include this small bakery tucked away in East London for the September issue of @BritishVogue, which she guest edited. This bakery has been making a substantial difference to the lives of women in the local area over the last five years and opening its arms to vulnerable women whilst providing job skills, career support, mentoring and coaching. The combination of these like minded women supporting each other, both on the staff side and from the students, is proving to be the perfect recipe in creating this amazing, positive environment. Megan posted a message on the Sussex Royal Instagram account (aka the one she and Prince Harry share) about Luminary Bakery, the one that reportedly made her 38th birthday cake, and that helps women who have had a "social and economic disadvantage" learn to bake and gain valuable business skills.

She posted a series of cupcakes made by the bakery topped with inspirational messages on them like "You Are Enough" and "Stay Strong."

“What they’ve created at Luminary Bakery is exceptional," Meghan wrote on Instagram.

The post goes on to detail a trip Meghan made to the bakery earlier this year and how it inspired her to include the bakery and its good deeds in the September issue of British Vogue, which she guest-edited earlier this year.

We could all take a lesson here from Meggie, no? When life gets a bit sour, you can always turn it into something sweet.
