Meghan Markle has made an appearance ahead of her private baby shower in New York City. The Duchess of Sussex, who's reportedly due to welcome her and Prince Harry's first child in less than two months, was spotted leaving her hotel in a monochrome look consisting of a black textured coat, black skinny jeans, nude pumps, a neutral tote bag, and oversized sunglasses. She clutched her baby bump while leaving The Mark Hotel, located in Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Meghan is set to have lunch with her former Suits costar Abigail Spencer first before the baby shower, a source tells BAZAAR.com. (Spencer was already seen with a gift bag out in NYC ahead of the gathering.)
The duchess reportedly flew from London to NYC on Friday, February 15, according to royal correspondent Omid Scobie. During her stay, she linked up with her good friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney, who was in town for Good Morning America filming obligations. (She's based in Toronto, where she and Duchess Meghan first met while the former actress was filming Suits.) Their time together included grabbing macarons at the French bakery Ladurée in SoHo over the weekend.
The Duchess of Sussex's baby shower is set to be a low-key event with only 15 guests, sources previously confirmed to BAZAAR.com. However, Scobie reports that the mom-to-be will have another pre-baby party after she and Prince Harry travel to Morocco at the end of the month. For that fête, she'll be joined by friends across the pond, and hopefully the Duke of Sussex himself. The future dad spent the day in London, where he fulfilled a work engagement with a children's charity today.
