How Meghan Markle Kept Her Royal Baby a Secret
Did Meghan Markle use some clever wardrobe tricks to keep her pregnancy quiet?
On Monday, it was announced she is expecting Prince Harry's child and is due next spring, putting her in her second trimester.
Photos show how the Duchess of Sussex used ruffles, draping, large coats and props to hide her growing baby bump.
"The duchess has stayed very consistent to her style signature," stylist Brooke Jaffe told Inside Edition. "What we've seen in the last few months is she's really loosened it a little bit on the bottom. She's added more flowing skirts and a little bit of volume."
On Monday, upon landing in Sydney, Australia, for the start of the newlyweds' 16-day tour, Markle wore an oversized coat while clutching a strategically placed folder.

On Friday, she wore a loose-fitting Givenchy coat to Princess Eugenie's wedding, which had some speculating over whether she was expecting.

Last month, she wore another heavy bright blue coat — this time designed by Smythe — for the launch of a charity cookbook at Kensington Palace.
At one event in September, she wore a belted, ruffled Oscar de la Renta shirt over pants. On another occasion, she donned a draped Givenchy dress, complete with a clutch that she held over her midsection.

But the earliest speculation she was pregnant came after Sept. 6, when Markle stepped out to an evening charity event wearing a blue, ruffled Jason Wu dress.

The couple married in May. Their child will be seventh in line to the throne after Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince Harry.
