Meghan Markle Low-Key Added Some Diamonds to Her Engagement Ring

From ELLE

At Trooping the Colour, Meghan Markle debuted the eternity ring Prince Harry gave her as a first-year anniversary present. According to Hello!, she also gave the world a glimpse at the change she made to her engagement ring. In shots showing the three rings she was wearing during her Trooping the Colour appearance, the band on her engagement ring is noticeably thinner and diamond-studded. Initially, it had been a thicker all-gold band.

Harry designed Meghan's engagement ring, which features diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's collection and a center diamond from Botswana. Court Jewelers Cleave and Company made the ring.

Harry said during the couple's first interview after announcing their engagement that he chose yellow-gold for Markle's engagement ring band "because that's her favorite," and included two diamonds from Diana's personal collection "to make sure she's with us on this crazy journey together."

The ring upgrade comes amid reports that Meghan and Harry are very happy settling into their new lives as parents to their son Archie. “This is how you want the man that your best friend is with to look at her. It's really lovely,” a friend told ELLE.com earlier in June of the Harry and Meghan's relationship.

The Duchess of Sussex, who is expected to make intermittent public appearances during her maternity leave, is doing great as a new mom. “Meghan is radiant, taking each day one day at a time," a confidant told ELLE.com. "What strikes me most is this authentic peacefulness that has settled within her.”
