Meghan Markle is obsessed with her Rothy's, the $145 eco-friendly flats Editors

If you're looking to make a few eco-friendly changes in your life this month, why not take a cue from the Duchess of Sussex's closet?

The 37-year-old royal regularly makes headlines for her fashion choices, but what is rarely reported is that the mom-to-be is known to favor sustainable brands such as Hiut Denim, V10, Reformation and, of course, Rothy's.

Made from recycled water bottles that are transformed into yarn, the San Francisco-based shoe brand has quickly risen to one of the country's most beloved sustainable fashion companies, even becoming one of Ivanka Trump's go-tos. Meghan's Rothy's debut during her royal tour of Australia in the fall of 2018 only contributed to its popularity.

In fact, the brand asserts that it's seen a four times sales increase since the duchess wore its signature black pointed-toe pair on a South Melbourne beach.

"We love to see organic love for the brand build," said the brand's COO Kerry Cooper. "The whole team is excited that Meghan’s decision to swap her heels for flats has introduced so many new women to the brand, and inspired them to do the same.”
